Hostel Life

The campus life at JIT is wholesome, easy, and fun filled. It provides the students a judicious mix of education and enjoyment. The JIT campus offers to both the day scholars and residents a complete suite of facilities that are very self-sufficient. Thus, the student has absolutely no need to step out of the college premises for anything. It goes that extra mile to make the life of students staying at hostels that much more comfortable and pleasant, thereby making it second home. The college provides excellent and separate hostel facilities for both boys and girls. The students are provided spacious rooms with attached bath with running hot and cold water. Subscribing to the fact that student need to have fresh air combined with physical sport it offers spacious and large play courts /playground for volleyball, basketball, shuttle, ball badminton and other outdoor games.

Full-fledged hostel facilities for boys & girls students have been established inside the campus.It also provides good and safe facilities of lodging and boarding to cater to the needs of outstation students. It has full fledged facilities with STD, ISD, Gymnasium, a reading room and a computer room. The students are monitored with their well being by an efficient and qualified custodian.

Mineral water is supplied in the hostels for drinking purposes.
Hostel is provided with a spacious dining hall with adequate and comfortable furniture and kitchen with Steam Cooking facilities.
Uninterrupted supply of water and electricity.
Hostel is supplied with an English News Papers everyday to improve their reading habits and General Knowledge
Hostel is provided with recreation halls for Television viewing.
Assistant Wardens are available for consultation and guidance for the benefit of the students.

Rules

Students should maintain strict discipline and avoid making noise inside the hostel premises including dining hall.
Students should go to college in formal dress, properly tucked-in, wearing shoes, clearly shaved face.
Inmate going out should get prior permission from the warden and should come back at the appointed hour.
Hostellers should not go outside the college campus except on holidays by obtaining prior permission from the hostel warden.
Ragging is totally prohibited and violations in this regard will invite punishment including dismissal from the college.
Students found to disobey the above rules will be expelled form the hostel/college under disciplinary grounds and has to forego his/her fees and deposit.

A home away from home provided for Girls accommodating 800 students in an area of 1.02.400 sq.ft. The architecturally designed building and the surroundings offer a cool, green pleasant and eco friendly atmosphere which stimulates positive learning. It provides a lively environment which helps in healthy interaction among the students. The main hostel has 128 rooms which can accommodate 4 students per room .The rooms are allotted for second and third year of B.E /B.Tech, and PG students. The rooms are furnished with cots, cupboards, Chairs etc.., The second girls hostel has 41 rooms which can accommodate 4 students per room .The rooms are allotted for the first year of B.E /B.Tech students. The rooms are furnished with cots, cupboards, Chairs etc.
