JEPPIAAR TROPHY ALL INDIA BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT has been functioning from the year 2009 under the Jeppiaar basketball club. Mr. Marie Wilson, the director of Jeppiaar Institute of Technology is the founder and president of the club. The tournament has been consequently organized in the past three years. The first JEPPIAAR TROPHY ALL INDIA BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT was organized by Flyers Basketball club at Pondicherry in the year 2009. The second JEPPIAAR TROPHY ALL INDIA BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT was organized by Jeppiaar Engineering College and conducted at the college in the year 2010. The third JEPPIAAR TROPHY ALL INDIA BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT was organized by Jeppiaar Institute of Technology and conducted at Dr. J.Jayalalitha indoor basketball court, Chennai in the year 2011. The fourth tournament will be organized and conducted at Jeppiaar Institute of Technology, Sriperumbudur in the year 2012.
The management organizes this national level all India basketball tournament “JEPPIAAR TROPHY” every year to create an opportunity for the talented basketball players to play with the Indian international basketball players and display their talents in this wide world
