The Department of Humanities & Science (S&H) is established to support the undergraduate Programs of our institution. The department is well equipped with modern experimental setups and ample space for fledgling student’s fraternity to achieve high standard of understanding and learning. The department has published many research papers in reputed international and national level science journal. The curriculum is focus on the recent advancements and developments in the field of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and their demand in applications. The Department has the state–of-the-art facilities for various laboratories, a well-equipped seminar hall, Wi-Fi enabled class rooms to support e-learning with Projectors and a department Library. The Department is currently in the process of supporting core departments for NBA and NAAC approval process.
The Department of Humanities offers Communicative English in the I Semester and Technical English in the II Semester for the I year B.E./ B.Tech. Students . It also offers Communication Skills, Professional English, Employability Skills and Soft Skills Development courses for the II year and III year B.E. / B.Tech. Students to ameliorate their placement prospects. It also offers Special Coaching classes for the Vernacular Medium Students and Remedial Classes for Arrear Students, and Communication Skills for II Year B.E. / B.Tech. lateral entry students after college hours. A modern language laboratory enables the final year students to perform well in GRE, TOEFL, GMAT and other competitive examinations. This multimedia lab installed with necessary software to improve their LWRS (Learning, Writing, Reading, Speaking) skills, also helps them to hone their communication skills. The department prepares students to excel in various competitions (both co-curricular and extracurricular) conducted by other institutions.The department is embellished with 2 faculties are doctorates.
The Department of Mathematics is the mother of scientific and engineering courses. Therefore special attention is paid for the development of basic mathematics skills required for technical curriculum. The teachers spot mathematical talents among the students and encourage them to take part in seminars, to develop problem solving skills and complete in various intercollegiate mathematical competitions.The department is embellished with 6 faculties out of them 3 are doctorates

On the theoretical side, the curriculum is focus on the recent advancements and developments in the applied physics, Nano Technology, optical materials, Material Science and their demand in applications.
The Department of chemistry is recognized to support the undergraduate Programs of our institution. The Chemistry department has a well-equipped, more spacious and good ventilated laboratory. The department is embellished with 3 faculties out of them 2 are doctorates. As a result, many books and research papers are published in reputed international and national level science journalfromourde partment. Apart from that our faculties also supports the UG students in their projects, encouraging them in writing articles to publish in research journals and to present them in national and international level conferences. On the theoretical side, the curriculum imparts basic chemistry and knowledge in various fields in Water Technology, Electro chemistry & Corrosion, Chemical kinetics, Surface chemistry, Phase Rule & Alloys, Fuel & combustion and Environmental Studies.

As a part of our regular e-Learning Initiative that aims at effective use of current technology to enhance the teaching-learning process and to make it learner driven the department maintains individual course pages which hosts the Syllabus, Lesson Plan, Lecture Notes and other reading materials to conduct Value added courses like Design Thinking club which enable the students to propose human – centered approach to solving complex problems within all aspects of life.
Periodic guest lectures, workshops are organized for the benefit of students to supplement their curriculum. This facilitates our students to enrich their knowledge and to update the current industry trends.
We are proud to have research supervisor-ship obtained from Anna University, Chennai. Presently part time research scholars are doing M.Phil programmes under their guidance.
Faculties are focusing on research activities in Surface Engineering,Geo Chemistry,Nano composite coatings,Data Mining,Number theory and cryptography,crystal growth,Optical Fiber communication systems,etc.
Three faculties are doing Ph.d in anna university,bharathiar university and Sri kanchi sankara university in the areas of inventory models,Geo chemistry,laser welding
