The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) was established in the year 2011 with the sanctioned intake of 60 students to produce Engineers with visionary knowledge in the field of Computer Science and Engineering through scientific and practical education in stance of inventive, modern and communal purpose for the benefit of society.
The department was certified with ISO 9001:2015. The Department has well qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty team, the state –of-the-art Infrastructure for various laboratories, a well-equipped seminar hall, Wi-Fi enabled classrooms to support e-learning with Projectors and a department Library. The Department is currently in the process of NBA and NAAC Certification.
Faculty members motivate the students to participate in technical activities for enhancing their fundamental technical knowledge. Students are also encouraged to participate in various inter-disciplinary and industry sponsored contests, research and Mini Projects, as well as Co-curricular, Extra Curricular (Sports and Social) and cultural activities throughout the year across the country. Our students make best use of these opportunities and bring laurels to the Department.
The department is regularly organizing Conferences, Symposium, Workshops, Project Expo, Hackathon and Coding Competitions, various technical and non-technical events through Professional society, technical and non-technical clubs to update the practical knowledge of students.
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is associated with Computer Society of India – Chennai Chapter (CSI) and Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE)

To enhance the teaching-learning process the department maintains individual course pages which hosts the Syllabus, Lesson Plan, Lecture Notes and other reading materials to conduct academic and Value added courses like Cyber Security, Machine Learning, Robotics Process Automation (RPA), Internet of Things (IoT), Data Science and Big data Analytics, Interactive Web designing and Progressive Java, Android Application Development. With Information & Communication Technologies(ICT) like Technical Quiz, Assignment, Mind Mapping, Role Play, Tech Talk are carried to achieve Innovative teaching learning practices.
Periodic Guest Lectures, Workshops and Industrial Visit are organized for the benefit of students to supplement their curriculum. This facilitates our students to enrich their knowledge and to update the current industry trends.
To enrich the student skills, regular training activities for placements are conducted by expert trainers from the first year itself. The training programs focus on enhancing their soft skills and programming ability. In addition to the co-curriculum activities, a wide range of value added courses are also available in order to improve and refine the overall potential of the students.
Alumni team of our department will help the students during the placement training process by conducting mock interviews, group discussions, guest lectures, and motivational talks
At Present Three Faculties are pursuing their Ph.D. in Anna University in the areas of Big Data, Wireless Sensor Networks and Machine Learning.
Focusing on Research, Faculties are pursuing research work to publish Patent, papers in Web of Science, Scopus, UGC Journals and carrying out Research projects.
As part of Indo-Israel Nano satellite Programme, Our Students launched our own CANSAT on Feb 8, 2020
Every year our student do Internships at eminent companies including Amazon, ATOS, Coding Mart, Coviam Technologies, Advanced Training Institute, Amazon, BSNL etc.
