Objective


  • To promote interdisciplinary Space Engineering for under graduation level in collaboration with national, international agencies and organizations.
  • To provide hands on experience on CANSATs as a preliminary process to develop Nano Satellites for research and educational purpose.
  • To involve the students through train the trainer concept through various tech talks, hands on training, industry visit, online trainings, Rocketry competitions, Satellite Tracking events, etc.

CanSat Rocketry Competition

It was a great Honor to see our students Mr. Haarish Kannan, Department of CSE and Mr. Tamil Selvan, Department of IT participate in International CanSat Rocketry Competition held at Serbia on October 6th 2019 organised by Space Programme Development (CSPD), Republic of India and we are proud that JIT Team won the UNISEC Global Jury Award at Serbia 2019.


JIT CanSat Launch

Jeppiaar Institute of Technology successfully launched 3 CanSat on Feburary 08th 2020 in the august presence of Dr.Mylswamy Annadurai - Chairman, National Design and Research Forum Institution of Engineering(India) and Vice president, Directorate of Technical Education. The Launch was presided by Dr. N. Marie Wilson, Managing Director of Jeppiaar Institute of Technology. The event was addressed by Mr.Sri Ram, Process and Transformation Head , Robotics Process Automation & Digital Solution in ATOS and Dr. Gopalakrishnan, Secretary General UNISEC India, Dean–New Horizon College of Engineering. Dr.N.Venkatesan, Scientist and Head, Ocean Observation System, National Institute of Ocean Technology(NIOT), Mr.JeganSelvaraj, CEO- Digital Transformation, TroonDX.
